How thick is the acrylic and why is it so thick?
The display case is constructed with premium, thick, UV-blocking acrylic. The lid and side panels are 8 mm thick to hold the Neodymium magnets, while the remaining panels are 6 mm thick. A thicker acrylic was used for construction because it provides maximum structural protection and a premium look and feel, designed for collectors who demand the absolute best for their display.
How does UV-blocking acrylic help protect sealed booster boxes?
Cardboard and plastic degrade with prolonged UV exposure, fading printed artwork. The premium acrylic used in this display case contains UV-inhibiting polymers that block 99.79% of harmful UV rays, helping to prevent fading of printed artwork over time. The robust enclosure also protects against dust, scratches, accidental bumps, and everyday handling.
